Font - Dr. Raven the Science Maven is healing ... @ravenscimaven "No." is a full sentence Kat @quiet_anarchy · 13h Replying to @Jo_EQ @SkepticCyclist and @ravenscimaven I mean you're not owed an explanation as to why someone doesn't want you to pet their dog. Regardless of what the reason is. No is no. 10:40 PM · Mar 12, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone

Font - Dr. Raven the Science Maven is healing @ravenscimaven P'll try “no, thanks for asking" But l'm sure as hell not going to be sorry and give reasons. I don't need to do all that performance 10:54 PM · Mar 12, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone

Font - Dr. Raven the Science Maven is healing ... @ravenscimaven For everyone telling me to lie and say my dog bites or make up some type of excuse: My dog doesn't bite and I'm not going to lie for no reason. I don't need to lie to make people comfortable. 12:37 AM · Mar 13, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone

Font - Renate Rose @RenateARose Replying to @ravenscimaven This thread makes me curious. I have dogs and I don't mind anyone petting them, ONLY after they ask for permission. What makes you mind? (This q obviously only applies to dogs who are friendly.) 1:29 AM · Mar 13, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone

Dog - caitlyn @gr8tlyntwt Replying to @RenateARose I am reluctant to let little kids pet my (friendly) dog. My boy is friendly and loves everyone but some kids parents don't teach them how to behave around animals and they're rough and can't read their body language or anything. Dog - Rick Hughes @dbl11s2 Replying to @ravenscimaven I don't have that problem anymore, but used to with our Yellow Lab. No means no in any circumstances. Sasha seems to scare folks away though he's a snuggle bunny.

Plant - Paige @PaigePang1 Replying to @ravenscimaven I say “no, she's working or in training." That way they don't take it personally. No is like a slap in the face. They think they're complimenting the dog wanting to pet it, then if owner says no, it's a slap to the gut. A dagger blow.

Font - Clare @iSharx Replying to @chachina and @ravenscimaven The number of people who respond "it's cool all dogs like me" and continue to reach for my large, snarling, lunging dog after l've told them he bites is.really something. 10:22 PM · Mar 12, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone

Font - Dr. Beth Rohlman @Beadskrit Replying to @ravenscimaven This! I had rescue dog who was afraid of children once. The anger I would receive when I told children “no." It's not enough to teach your kids to ask before petting a dog (though plenty of people don't even do that!) You also have to teach them to accept and respect "no." 99 10:05 PM · Mar 12, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone

Dog - Lynn R Grant @LynnRGrant Replying to @richard_gwynne and @ravenscimaven That would be this one. She loves me, my wife, and the woman we board our dogs with when we go out of town. Wants to eat everyone else. "Sure you can pet her, but you might want to put on a bite sleeve first." IN C2 HAD FVE NINS

Font - Aharon Rabinowitz @ABAOProductions Replying to @ravenscimaven I ask to pet every dog I see. I absolutely respect and understand when someone doesn't want me to pet their dog and don't hold it against them. But l'll admit that the best interactions end with “... But thank you for asking. I appreciate it.“ 66 10:09 PM · Mar 12, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone
